Had ice on the windshield this morning...bring on the snow! I made this soup tonight with my leftover turkey breast off the egg yesterday--I like colorful soups--this one contained just about everything I had in the fridge! Turkey, ditalini, green peppers, red peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, onion, purple cabbage, white and yellow corn... I always find that leftover poultry from the egg makes for a great flavor in soups.

That's beautiful Julia. Comforts the soul just to look at it! Love the healthy sprinkling of black pepper as well.
Dang...I am definitely done with summer, but not sure I'm set for frost yet.
Cheers

Your soup looks nice. I bet it tasted delicious. :P
It's to soon for frost and snow for us and I'm glad because I make money mowing yards as long as the grass keeps growing. Tim -
Julia,
Looks awesome. We were pretty close to frost this morning and then a heat wave came through. 85* plus and severe storm warnings tonight. Get ready. Can't wait to start making stocks and soups again.

Never heard of Easter soup...must be something like "everything" soup! Haha. The chunky monkey is recovered and hogging the bottom third of the bed right now. :silly:

I'm so jealous. It was 94° here today. Someone forgot to tell Georgia that it is officially fall now and it needs to cool down.

Frost? Whats that? :ermm: 97 degrees here today.

My car read 101* at one point today. I was thinking, that can't be right, so I checked the temp with my droid. Nope, it was right, 101* and it's almost fall...sigh.....

Looks awesome!
I always end up using the breasts of spatchcock for pasta salad, soup, tacos or something like that. I love the dark meat right off the egg, the breast meat is great too but I love using it in other stuff later on. I am spatchcocking today so I will probably use 1 set of breasts for cream of chicken rice soup and the other set for some tortellini salad for eggwegofest.
Great post -
I'd eat the heck out of that!! Nicely done!Molly
