Brisket- Fat side up or down?

Everyone does it different. What do ya'll think? Fat side up or down when cooking a brisket.
Some say fat just runs off if fat side up, others say it makes it tender.
Help please.

Down in this household. Extra barrier to the heat that comes from below is our take on it. Bottom line though, don't think it really makes a difference. Just personal preferance and 'who believes what' in fat...lol. Vote here: Fat Down.

Thx for the help. I went fat side down. Now I can sleep better tonight while the brisket cooks.
