Hey folks - long time, no post, but I've been lurking and drooling over all the delicious food y'all are constantly putting out there. I love seeing all the old names, but it's also great seeing all the new ones.

I just wanted to share some really good news with you all, since so many of you are like my second family - just a few weeks ago, August 7, I became a very happily married man. My new wife, Mrs. TRex, is more than I could have ever asked for. I am truly blessed. What's more - she LOVES to cook, and we spend quite a bit of time in the kitchen together. In fact, we recently started a food blog . . . drum roll, shameless plug:

http://theshoeboxkitchen.com/

Anyway, this isn't about our blog, I just wanted to say hello and tell you folks that I miss you and love what you're doing in the forum, and I couldn't resist sharing my good news with you all.

All my best,

jason

Jason, Congrats to you and your bride. It was a pleasure to meet you and I still think your too young to be a legend with a technique named after you
    Best of luck

She loves cooking, and she helps me "think outside the box" a bit - we have COMPLETELY different cooking styles, but somehow it seems to work, and it's a lot of fun.

    Very fortunate, indeed. :-)

Congratulations to you and your new bride, Jason! You've put your best foot forward and we're happy for you. Here's a toast I rarely use except for special occasions : "May bad luck follow you both for the rest of your days.........but, never overtake you!!". Here's a shot from 2007 of the famous TRex and egret :

Hey Chris - hope all is well in Dizzy Land. Thanks for the congrats.

We're trying to swing Eggtober - honestly, I haven't even looked to see the ticket situation - with the wedding and all I missed the pre-registration. I imagine it's sold out, but if we can find some extras I know my bride wants to come, so we'll see!

P.S. - Had a great hanger steak in Maine but it still wasn't better than the one you cooked in the hotel parking lot back in, let's see - what was it - '06, maybe?
