I'm about to put on a leg of lamb and thought I had everything covered (using Little Chef's method) but what kind of wood for smoke. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

grapevine is good, lilac is great
cherry, oak
hickory is a little too "barbecue" tasting. i'd go with anything fruitwood of floral for lamb. can toss in rosemary sprigs too. -
I usually use the twigs from my rosemary bush, but have used apple or guava with great results.

Have cherry and fresh rosemary from the garden. Thanks for the prompt reply. You got to love the Forum for the people.

I have Apple and rosemary. Stike suggested cherry, what about a combination of apple and cherry. I have the lamb basically wrapped in rosemary.
