A Fitting Tribute to Car Wash Mike

AS many of you may know, Mike was devoted to his step-granddaughter Kaleigh who passed away earlier this year. One of the activities Mike supported in Kaleigh's name was Startime Riders which provide horseback experiences for disabled individuals in western Missouri. While you're cooking this weekend, think about sending a small donation in Mike's (and Kaleigh's) name to this group. $10 from a hundred of us would be a fitting tribute.

    here is a link to donations for startime riders . . .lacking any other donation info from mike's sister or family, i can't think of a better idea either . ..i'll be monitoring facebook to see if they mention something . . .i know how important startime riders was to mike and kaleigh though, i'm sure he'd appreciate this tribute!!

    here is the link again ...i know how much this organization meant to mike and kaleigh ....i think it would be a fitting tribute. . .but like i said above, i will keep an eye out on facebook to see if mike's sister has any other organizations that the family want's donations made to ...

    Never got a chance to meet Mike, But sent a check today. All I put on the check was in memory of Car wash Mike. They'll get the idea.

    I haven't cooked for months (Work and family stuff have taken precedence). This seems like the best time to get back at it... Will do ribs in Mike's honor on Sunday... I even have some Blues Hog that he gave me in Atlanta... Fine time to open it...
