We're going camping in a few days, and I have some bacon I need to use up before we go. I know, I know, I could freeze it, but taking pig candy for the family sounds like more fun to me.
So...on the rare occasions you have leftover pig candy, how do you store it? Fridge? Room temp? My first inclination is that even cooked, it still has too much fat and would go rancid at room temps, right?

I have a tupperware container that is roughly 6" x 12" x 1-1/2" tall. I layer the pig candy between sheets of wax paper and freeze. Then I have a piece or two occasionally straight from the freezer.
Don't tell Eenie Meenie or my cardiologist.
