Well actually it does get better, when you consider I didn't take pics of the 2" Filet's that went along with these babies.

Man those look good! I did a couple lobsta tails last weekend as well to go with our fillets. Probably cooked them just a minute too long, but they still came out very good, and my steak was a nice rare/medium rare.

I'm sorry Jerry but they could have looked much, much better. They could have been on my egg.

Those rascals are worth more than gold down here. When I hear what they are going for on the docks in Maine a tear comes to my eye. :(

Those tails were a pretty penny for sure, though it was a very special occasion with a dear friend/family moving away. BTW my friend is now buying a BGE since he can't rely on me anymore...

I used a method I found from Smokin Guitar Player where you spread w/butter face down for a couple min then baste again and cook shell side down til done. I was lucky and mine were cooked perfect.. Last time I did the same as you but they were still really good.
