I caught this Ono in Kona, Hawaii, last week. I sure with that I could have cooked it on my Egg. I ended up using a gasser that was available at our condo. Still good, but I'll always wonder....
Ono is the fastest fish in the ocean. I'm told that it can swim up to 70 mph.

Nice catch, and glad you got to enjoyed it! I never reel in anything that I can't bring home for the table.. And, BTW, I still have a few 'gassers', and really don't care what anyone else stinks about that!!

Nice "hooter" I have only caught one on a bluewater trip. The guy in the office next to mine blue water fishes often (partner in a boat) and gives us some hooter chunks - my brides favorite fish from the Egg.

One of the best eating fish, IMO. Nice job.

Very nice catch, and I don't care how ya cook Wahoooooo they are a great eating fish. They are a rare catch here in South FL. my personal best was 5'+ long estimated to be #60. It was a blast to catch and even better eating and back then I used a gasser too.
Again a very nice catch and thanks for sharing.

Ono Sushi is awesome - I prefer it to yellowfin tuna. It needs to age in the fridge for a day. Congrats -- awesome stuff!

Interesting fish, looks like they'd be fun to hook with all that speed. That's a fish to remember.
Where is an egg when you need it? he he he
Glad you had a great time. -
Very Nice! Looks like a great time in a great place. I think Fishlessman told me he recently caught one of those off his dock on a 4 wt. flyrod and a #16 Parachute Adams. He said he was fishing with the heavy stuff that day.
Happy 4th!

Hawg Fan, I'm sure your wahoo would be fabulous even if it were grilled over a bunsen burner. Nice catch!
