My local newspaper ran an article on bbq and more specifically ribs. They posted this rib rub, it looks really good. Has anyone tried this or any variation of this?

1/2 cup fennel seeds
1/2 cup coriander seeds
2 tablespoons ginger powder
2 tablespoons ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
2 tablespoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

I think I wouldn't mind crunching a few fennel seeds, but coriander might be a little too large. I suppose they might get soft or powdery during cooking, and so not be to hard and irritating. But I'd grind them anyway, and try to get more of their flavor right into the meat.

Also, most rubs have some sugar. Not as important as the salt, but helps form a better crust if making dry ribs. If making wet ribs, the sauce can have sweetness if desired.
