The thermometer that came with the egg has gone kaput. This happened with my first egg as well. I replaced that one with another from BGE. It seems to me I read on here that there are other thermometers that some people use instead of the BGE one. Can someone give me a link or recommendation?

I could just wait til June 5th and get one from the dealer at the PNW eggfest, but they don't seem all that reliable to me. I didn't have it covered and I guess it got moisture in it. I only have one cover, so the newer egg sits uncovered. I see a lot of winter photos of eggs on this forum that appear to be uncovered. Don't your thermometers get moisture inside and stop working?
