Found a cast iron pot

I found a cast iron pot on craigslist;

I was thinking of getting it and restoring for use on my large Egg. Will an 8 qt pot fit on a large? Will there be any room left for anything else if it does fit?

Cool pot
I have an 8 qt lodge that fits, but it is shaped differently, a little rounder and shorter, I think. :unsure: I'm not sure I'd get it (unless of course it's really cheap 'cause it is really cool lookin'
)... -
For $15, it's worth a try, even if it doesn't fit on your egg. You could use it on the stovetop as a fryer, as it appears to be kinda tall & narrow for an 8-qt pot.

For 15 bucks, who cares? Cool lookin' pot! I paid $40 for a 5 qt antique with lid.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Maybe it looks like copper because it is rusted?

I spoke too soon. It's already sold. But my question remains; what's a good size cast iron stew pot for a large? I wanna get one.I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.

I have a 7 qt Lodge and love it. It is good for 5-6 people. Any more you may want to get the 8 or 9 quart. I think I only paid around 42.00 from amazon.com. This was new and pre seasoned. Hope this helps
