First cook - don\'t laugh!

Today my fiancee spent all day running from store to store to find the perfect wood for our BGE table. He seemed to think I ab-so-lu-te-ly wanted the finest wood... I really didn't mind, but I believe HE wants his table to be perfect. As if that will give him any rights on MY BGE.
The plan was for me to go to the butcher to get two 2in filet mignon for supper. I wanted my first cook te be remembered forever...
Well. The fiancee came back AFTER the butcher closes, and since we have only one car, there was no way for me to get there by myself (my bicycle is still stored).
But I REALLY wanted to light up my egg...
So I did. My first cook on the Big Green Egg will be remembered as the simplest ever: Grilled Pineapples.

They were simply delicious. My son (3½ years old) thought they were gross, but all the rest of us had a second serving.

Aw, come on, Isabelle - can't we laugh just a little?
I'm sure he will pay for this. I haven't tried pineapple yet, but they look and sound delicious. I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
