    There was an episdoe of History Channel's "Modern Marvels" on the tube last week about the use of Capsaicin in applications other than culinary. I don't recall the ghost peppers mentioned but it was late and I was half asleep. They covered pepper spray used for self defense and law enforcement purposes. Also mentioned(as in your article)were medical uses including pain treatment as well as immune deficiency treatment.
