9 Spatchcock Chickens on LBGE?

I have the BGE 3 Tier Grid assessory. If I wanted to cook 9 chickens I would have to cut them into halves for the bottom and middle rack. Not sure if I would get them all on either. Would the adjustable rig from the Ceramic Store allow me to get three whole birds on each grid? Or should I just cut up the birds and plan on getting 9 halves per cook which is probably the most I can get on my 3 tier BGE grid setup?

I would think it would be very hard to get all those on spatchcock style. Probably cutting them up it may fit better. I'd love to see a picture of this cook when you're done goodluck

That is a lot of chickens! I doubt you can get 9 on the egg at a time. If you do, please post a picture. Good Luck!

Someone did these on a large a few years back. Not sure how many.

I count 10! and it looks like it is direct. I worry about having my chicken hanging out over the gaps in my plate setter because the chicken gets burnt. I will probably just go with cutting them up.

When doing ribs or large areas of meat/poultry, I will take a strip of heavy aluminum foil about 12 inch wide and 6-7 inches long. Then fold in half and fold over the grid, 1/2 on top 1/2 on bottom, takes 4 pieces to cover the ring and the plate setter burn problem does not happen. Great folod bad picture of foil.
