I need to purchase one with the probe that permantly stays in the meat and has the outside digital reading. Looking for a good reasonably priced one, what should I get?

Go to Bed, Bath and Beyond and get a $20 model off their wall. Polder is a good model. I've had mine for 10 years and it is still going strong.
