Bought a Smoke Pistol for cold smoking. Not eggactly what I was thinking but look forward to trying.


These smoke cartiages last 4 hours, they are flavored with pellets. I can't beleive they can't be made at home.


Anyway one of three cooks this weekend.



After you ever noticed after 4CST, 5EST the online guests get cut down by half. :woohoo:

I don't know what that is either but if you are looking to make some nice smoke ring get yourself one like we use in The Coop. Perfect smoke ring every time. And if the wind isn't blowing I can put a smoke ring inside another smoke ring. Here's a photo from their catalog:

Wow nice rig but seems a little costly to run if you only get 4 hours per cartridge??
I got the proQ and all it uses is what ever kind of wood dust .If purchasing the flavored dust can be expensive but all i have been doing is collecting the sawdust from my own wood work labeled as maple,cherry...

Oh yeah the proQ will go a little over 10 hours on one fill.

Mike, received my ProQ smoke generator from Mac's BBQ in the UK. Sorry no pic's. Looks like a good design, not similar to your cold smoker, will see how it does. Will post the results of next weeks cheese smoking.
