My late mother-in-law gave me her incredible brown bean recipe and I put together a batch today on the bge.
I ended up cooking my favourite snack cedar planked nachos to watch the olympics. Canadian womens hockey team is ruling the rink.

And how did your MIL do her beans?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Hi Hoss
Nachos are very good and easy to set up. I soak my plank for a minimum of 4hrs then load it with all the goodies.
First spread a layer of nacho chips then onions, green, red & yellow peppers, mushroom, cooked grond beef topped with your favourite shredded cheese.
Second layer is the same as the first starting with the chips and as you can see in the picture it is heaping.
I put the plank on a cookie sheet to catch all the goodies because it is loaded up.
The cheese is placed on top of each layer of goodies to hold things together as it melts.
I cook at 300 for about 20 mins.
Sometimes i will cook my ground beef with a taco mix or some Franks Hot sauce to spice it up a bit.
Enjoy. -
DAYUM!Thanks! It's GOTTA be YUMMEE!
