I saw the cookbook today!

The Outdoor Kitchen in Denver has the BGE cookbook.
It's beautifully done.The pictures are great and even has the same dimpled texture on the cover as the real egg.It would make a great coffee table book.. I just leafed through it.Didn't count the # of recipes or look at the table of contents.The pictures make you hungry!And the recipes I saw looked good.Most of my cookbooks that I have purchased with hard covers are in the $20-35 range.This one is $50.
I'll eventually get the book.It would make a great gift for someone with or without and egg.
My two cents.

Talk about messed up! I pre-ordered a copy about 6 weeks ago. After seeing your post I checked the status of my order that, when I placed it, was slated to arrive tis month, January. The 'new' date? June 11. What?

it has been posted several times that amazon and other retailers have their dates moved back. Bobby mentioned it a week ago (and he would know)

It's been reported here numerous times, but contractually the publisher can not release the book to any company other than BGE until June. That's not at all unusual. That also explains why those of us who ordered from Atlanta in order to have Ed Fisher autograph it costs us $60 for the book plus the postage. Dealers are starting to receive them and selling for $50. Granted you saved at least $20 ordering elsewhere, but that's the trade off. HTH

I was at my local shop yesterday and he had them... I could not resist picking one up!!! It is a GREAT cookbook!!!

I know that, but several people have already reported that Amazon, Sears and others are pre-selling them for like $31.

I picked up my copy yesterday. My daughter ordered me a copy before Christmas bless her heart. I must say it has a lot of nice recipies, more than a novice like me will ever try. I will try to describe its contents for all of you far away from the mothership. I haven't counted all of the recipies but there are about 20 each for appetizers, beef, pork, poultry, seafood, vegetarian, and side dishes. So thats about 140 right there. Then there are 10 to 12 more recipies for each of the folowing; sauces & rubs, baked goods, breakfasts, desserts and finally the 22 EGGhead recipes. Hope this helps.
