Hello.

Does the meat thermometer thatcame with the egg stay in the meat the whole time or do I need to take it out after checking the temperature of the meat? What is the metal clip on it for?

I have a BBQ fork that is a thermometer too and that works good but i would rather leave the thermometer in. Thank you.

    Welcome aboard.

    If you mean the BGE thermo, then that's supposed to go in the small hole on the upper cover, or "dome". It tells the grill temp, not the food, though i'd bet you could use it for both i guess. :ermm:

    you might also get more replies if you post your questions in the main forum, the "Egghead Forum". This forum is for questions re: technical issues with the forum itself (passwords, etc.).
