I played one of the military courses today and went off 2 hrs before the Prez.
As we finished the 8th and waited on the 9th tee, the flood gates opened with secret service (carts, 4 wheelers, etc.) rolling down the first fairway. We had a SS agent standing in front of the tee box keeping an eye on things, so we weren't going anywhere. Then came a couple more with metal detectors frisking us and searching our bags. So we watched him hit his approach and 2 putt. We gave him a nice round of applause and got a wave out of him. B)
He is in the white shirt and tan shorts.

This is him missing his birdie putt.

This was the coolest hole on the course.

I gotta admit that I'm not an Obama fan, but this was pretty darn cool.

Really cool,, had an encounter with the ss back in the 70's when Ford was playing golf in Vero Beach, they don't mess around

That looks like the course at Kaneohe Bay MCAS. That stretch on the back 9 was great. We used to sit on the tee boxes waiting for the fairways to clear and could see the whales surfacing out in the distance.

    Awesome golf course.

    Pat,

They don't mess around, although it did seem a little laxed to me. That was some extremely close encounterism and nobody knew me. I coulda been a wack-job on a mission.

Yup, the back was great. I know the whales are here just didn't see any. Just a Coast Guard ship patrolling the shoreline.

You know your shat man. ;)
  • You certainly can make up some time if you are able to play through!

    Neat stuff!

  • So why did you applaud him? Because he was leaving the hole?

At home we may have had some issues.
  • Wow pretty cool, I'll have to say I am a fan of Obama and that is way cool! Looks like a beautiful course. I got a new putter for Christmas and can't wait to try it out tomorrow at Wolfdancer here in central Texas. I guess if I'm lucky I might see W, probably not, but it would still be cool!

I was talking to a buddy who is a golfer in DC, he said he finally gave up hope and took the clubs out of the trunk for the winter! There is something to be said for living in Texas after all!

  • I guess Michelle didn't buy him an EGG for Christmas. :( Otherwise, he would have been out on the lani smoking a pig instead of playing golf. )
Very cool pictures tough. I hope you didn't slice a drive anywhere near him.

I'll leave the fan part alone...but sorry to hear. :ermm:

I lived in Phili for 2 1/2 yrs and played at least 2x a month all winter. Couldn't do Texas in the summer, but would love to hunt birds there someday.

No but that clown is spending $4000 a night renting a house. That's $56,000 JUST for the house. On top of everything else to take care of him and the fam. Probably a 3-$500,000 (or more) Christmas vacation. Which I really don't have a problem with at all, IF it was his money.

"W" used to get shat for taking a few days to cut wood on his own ranch.

You'd think everything is just hunky fricken dory round the nation.
