Direct vs Indirect grilling: The recipe calls for indirect grilling, how do we do this in the BGE?

    Bluegillman,
If you have a platesetter; put it on the grill upside down; legs up; put a drip pan between the legs: put another grill on top of the legs and you are cooking indirect.
You can also do this by using firebricks,;put the firebricks on the existing grill; put the drip pan between the bricks; and another grill on top of the firebricks; you are cooking indirect.
All you need is a barrier between the fire and what you are cookingThere are several web sites that have pictures and info on same; re; The Naked Whiz; Wess B's; Tim M's; Ravenhouse to mention a few.

Bluegillman,[p]Indirect can be as simple as a drip pan between the meat and the fire. Plate setters and pizza stones are next but really aren't all that necessary.

    Bluegillman,
Here is a link to a page that shows the setup fairly well.
