2" Steaks

Call me crazy, but to cook two inch steaks for folks is just too much.

I cooked 4 2" steaks last week for 4 people and we couldn't eat half. It seems overkill.

I'm thinkin' 1 1/2" is ideal

We bought a couple of whole ribeyes on sale and had them cut into 2" steaks. We cook one for two people to share and it works out pretty good. The "Princess" (wife) doesn't always eat her 'half' and sometimes will save it for lunch.

They sure do cook good, though!

We generally Fedex our leftovers to the Poolman. He has a huge tapeworm.

Split em!!!! 1 steak=2 people! Or do Porterhouses,give the girls the fillet side and you and the Bud eat the Strip side!

What works perfect in my house is one 2" for two people, 2" t-rex makes a perfect steak, as long as you can agree on doneness.

I fixed 1 2 1/4" ribeye for my wife and I. Still couldn't eat the whole thing splitting it between the 2 of us. But there's just something about having a big fat piece of steak on the egg.
