Competition with a Lang smoker

A dear friend had us and two other couples for steaks on his Lang a couple of weeks ago-we all usually meet out somewhere. He threw down the challenge of the Lang versus the BGE. I, of course, know there is no competion. His steaks were great, but.....looking for some menu ideas to meet this challenge. The other two couples will be the judge-they have all had my butts and ribs, so I am looking for something a little different. Any suggestions (with details) would be greatly appreciated. BTW--I have missed this forum....

Have you heard the saying "It's the cook, not the cooker"? Don't underestimate your friends skills. Julie Applegate has both a Lange and Eggs. Maybe she will be lurking and could put her two cents in on this. Or you could drop her a line at the store address.
