So here's a couple pics of dinner that past two nights. Sunday was steak and potatoes and monday was burgers. yes, i know, i have as much skill as a photagropher as a brick wall...
two ribeyes, seared on the new CI grate for 2 mins each side around 700.
plated with baked potato.
The two left over halves...
Ok, steak could have been better. Too much char and steaks were too thin to begin with. I wanted 1 1/2" thick but best i could was about 1" from a local grocer. they turned out medium to medium rare which is good....
the next night was hamburger with corn on the con. turned our awes
corn with bacon cooking...
all most done...
plated...
sorry the pics kind of suck. i'll try better next time... But the food was really really good. Steaks could have been better, burgers were awesome.

The burgers look awesome, kinda bummed I just put a chicken on the egg. Red meat wins every time.

They all looking tasty! Just a thought in the future when you're egging thin steaks you might want to try hot tubbing them. That way the centers are warm and you don't need much time to sear so they won't get charred on you. OTOH hot tubbing works great for thick steak too! Guess I'm just a hot tubber fan!

You gottaa be kidding, love the red stuff, but chicken off the egg is to die for. End of story.

yeah i've actually tried hot tubbing once on a london broil that turned out excellent. might have to try it on ribeyes. For whatever reason there was too much char on these steaks. Again, this was first atempt. will do better next time.
