That is one of the nicer tables I've seen in a while. Great room for storage and I like the side materials,
-
Beautiful.
Nice handiwork. -
Thanks, do not know why it posted on main forum. All of the material is stuff I could find in home stores and modify it to work. Bought the marble from local guys that dropped a counter top. Biggest cost was the IPA. I am excited. :woohoo:

Very nice, TCB, I especially like the natural stone. Be sure to put a hefty piece of masonry under your Egg so it doesn't scorch the woodwork.

Thanks Brad, I used 1x4 cement boards that I need to paint black, Would you still recommend a granite tile for heat? DM
-
That is one cool design and you do earn the frugal marble award of the day.. You seem to have a load of space to prep and assemble the food.Great job!

ahhh, who cares. Post away.

No, in fact I'd recommend against putting granite under your Egg for a couple of reasons. First, it's more brittle than a cement paver and thus more likely to crack under the weight of the Egg. Second, because it's a pretty expensive piece of stone to hide under the Egg. The paver I use was like $4 at Home Depot.
Granite is excellent, however, as your working surface. I've just got a square of it I work on, but I love it as much as our granite inside. Here's my rig:
I have the second paver beneath for hot plate setters, etc. -
Thanks, I did not even think of an extra for plate setter. Heading to HD for some stone and need to add a shelf.
