Dream Table

So, I saw it today... my dream table. Unfortunately it didn't have a BGE in it, it was a "rogue" ceramic cooker. However, I am lusting after the table... too bad it's $2800. But it is made by Viking. They have their ceramic cooker shown. Looks like R2D2.

I agree...that is a pretty sweet table. I'm glad I do not have one as I would be constantly wiping it down!! I can't help but wipe down all of the stainless we have in the house and to add a setup outside would push me over the edge!

Wouldn't be too tough to customize a BGE table with gas burners. Lowes sells all the componets to do just that. Maybe get a granite/concrete top.. Wouldn't be all stainless and shiney, but would be just as cool... just my 2 cents..

I was thinking of adding a granite top to my table, but figure it would cost as much as the cooker! It would be nice though...
-
Maynard-
Pour yourself a concrete top! Not too hard to make it shine like granite. I've poured a lot of countertops, and there is a pretty easy way to do it, even if your'e not that handy. A little hard work and a few basic tools, and I can steer you right through it. Let me know..

I am interested. I am just finishing up an outdoor kitchen and need to decide what to do the countertops in. I have wanted concrete, but havent found enough information on how to do it to try. I would appreciate any and all advice.
thanks, kendell -
Hey Kendall-
Happy to offer some advice... e-mail me and I'll tell you about the "short cut" to easy concrete countertops

Can they be sealed... or can a type of concrete be used that will resist stains? If so, I'm in.... I need a new table top.
THIS needs to be a tutorial in our ETable forum! (I'm serious).

please email any info you have... GREAT IDEA! -
Ran across this on eBay about a year ago and posted it just in case someone wanted the table without the shiny dome thing.
I'm not sure if it sold or not.

Oh yea, I almost forgot about this one made by an Egghead a few years back. I believe he was in the metal fabrication business. Simple, clean lines and very functional. First class all the way. I recall that a number of people wished he would make more to sell.

It is a Viking grill...made by Primo. WAyyyyyy overpriced!

Maynard,
And for only 4 grand more you can get it with a gasser attached.
If I ever get this thing done.

This is such a smooth unit.
Wouldn't want young men still thinking about having childern stand next to it in the sun  -
Nice top! Very professional, and clean looking.
How hard is it to do? I assume it's a different cement than what is used in the driveway???
17 days until I get my egg...Can't wait -
Mine was built by Texas Pit Crafters.

Im interested in how to do this. Can you help me?

Frank,
Your profile says two large eggs but I count three. You aren't holding out on us are you?
