I saw a simple recipe for vidalia onions on the grill somewhere and wondered if anyone can help.

Seemed it was a large onion cut in half, minced garlic and butter I think? I seem to recall they just wrapped it in foil and put it on the grill, anyone know?

That's it.There are several variations.Basically it is a baked onion with whatever seasoninsg or spices or toppings you like.REALLY GOOD!

If you have a couple of extras, you can make a great onion pie on the Egg too.

350-400 degrees,indirect 45 mins. to an hour depending on the size of the onion.Sorta like a baked tater.

It's savory Anthony. If you look at the recipe there's nothing sweet in it at all.

That is a great recipe. I got to try it at an eggfest. Delicious!!!
