Maybe I missed a thread, how far off are temps between grid surface and dome temps? If dome is at 300, is grid around 275 or there abouts?

Wil, you have it right, I've noticed that the dome temp is typically 20-25° higher than that at the grid level. The difference narrows as the the cook progresses and the Egg warms through.[p]

Wil, I did some testing one time and found that the difference was anywhere from 15 to 40 degrees depending on the temp I was monitoring. Maybe it was a fluke but I found it only 15 degrees at the lower end (about 225) but peaked at 40 when I was at about 450 and then dropped to 25 degrees as the temps got toward 600.
