Internet controlled temperature gizmo

Yesterday morning on Canada AM they had a BBQ champion showing off his stuff. He had a Kamodo cooker (some other brand than BGE) and a gizmo that controlled airflow as a function of temperature inside the cooker. He said it was even controllable over the internet for long low and slow cooks. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Actually he's probably talking about the Stoker..Digi-Q is not web controlled..

Why not ask on the Kamodo forum if they are using it....but I think you are talking about a Stoker....

Cyber-Q works on an intranet but not on the internet...I own one...and have tried many things to get it on the web..to no avail so far....NOT your bad..more a common misunderstanding..

I recently got the Stoker for my BGE. Used it for the first time making pork butts for the 4th of July. I put them on the Egg around 11:30 pm the night before, and let the Stoker take care of the work while I slept.
I think both the Cyber-Q and Stoker have a web interface. In my case, I went out and bought a Linksys Wi-fi bridge to allow me to connect the Stoker to my home wireless network, and configured my wireless router to allow me to connect to it from anywhere on the internet. In the end, I was able to monitor/adjust the temperature of the Egg right from my iPhone! :woohoo:
My friends and family think I'm a little crazy, but I certainly don't hear any complaints once the food hits the table! :P

.
If you can see and control it on your network, can't you open a port on the router and be able to see and control the CyberQ over the internet?

After reading your post earlier I started trying to see the Cyber Q on my netwok and couldn't make it work..I can remote into the laptop that it is physically connected to..but with the configuration I have right now the Cyber Q is NOT a network device...The computer you want to control with has to be running the cyberQ software and has to see the device on a port....Thanks for making me dig a little..
