......of Egg-Mates for my large at Chef's Central and can use a heads up on the process of sealing them with some urethane. I don't think I'm going to sand or stain them unless recommended by you guys (it appears that those of you that did that had mates that were badly faded and stained).
1. Did you remove the slats from the frame first, seal them, and then screw them back on?
2. What type of urethane should I use and how many coats should I apply?
Any other suggestions will be gratefully received.

Spar urethane. I left mine on to seal but will remove them next time
