Does anything look as good as Blues Hog on rib?

We don't think so. I did three racks low and slow for 8 hours then the other 3 racks 4 hours at 225ish.
I will post the after pictures from the gun club in the morning (when I am sober). They look like they might be my best yet.

  • I've gotta agree Willy. Those look pretty darn good.

Good ribs don't need no sauce Willy... LOL

Just kidding. Those look good. I still haven't been to a H.E.B. store that carries Blues Hog. I think I'll just have to make a special trip. Surely by now you would think someone could duplicate the sauce.

By the way, looks like we're getting our own H.E.B. I hope it is one of the BIG ones. Except for the Super Walmart and Target it will be our closest 'grocery store' when it opens. I guess that means Kroger is going to have to build a new store. Even then, I'll be shopping at H.E.B. most of the time.

Maybe a thick polyurethane with a combo of mahogany and cherry stain would, but I doubt it taste as good ;-)

BBQ, beer and firearms...does mortal man need anything more? :woohoo:
  • We're going to Mid-Mo next week and usually bring some back. Let me know if you want some. BTW, the new "cult" sauce there is Sticky Pig. Brought some back last trip to experiment with. Very good!

How does it compare to Blue's? As sweet? not so sweet? twangy? What seems to make it good in your opinion?

'preciate the offer but Luvs to shoot clay said H.E.B. at 249 and Louetta has some. I'll just make a run up there. This Sticky Pig must be good to top BH. Let us know how you like it.

Have fun in the Show Me State.
