How many pork butts can I get on to a Large Egg? I remember seeing a picture of multiple butts, but can't remember the arrangement the person used.

Six
"Butt" it did take the use of adjustable rig from The Ceramic Store. The spider, pizza stone and drip pan are under that mass of meat.
I really do not recommend this kind of cook without a BBQ Guru or Stoker and a bag of really good lump.
I tried it with RO and had to reload. I have never reloaded with Wicked Good. -
I have made 5 fit on a single grid. I had to stand them on end. I saw 6 the other day with an extended grid.

Thanks for all the quick responces everyone.
I thought about standing them up, but I was concerned about the fat cap....meaning I was told to always have it facing up. But that looks like the only way I can can get all four on my egg.
Since I am cooking four butts, any idea how much extra time it will take instead of doing one? -
If they are not touching it shouldnt add much time. 4 should go no problem. I always go fat cap down when I can. Celtic Wolf has some good reasoning on his site as to why to go fat cap down.

That solves the fat cap up fat cap down issue in the best compromise way.

Here is 4 on one grid, you have to stand them up. I always put the fat cap down when I do 2 or 3 butts. -RP

Here's mine from this weekend. It's 4 on a large using the adjustale rig before during and after. I could easily throw 2 more comfortably and if I wanted to squeeze I could probably get a couple more. These took 18 hours at 225 to get to 195 internal.

I got six on last week with the Adjustable Rig.
If someone had held a gun to my head, I probably could have squeezed another small one on top of the upper level, balanced on a third grid.
