Good hommeade side sauce for brisket?

My first brisket is cooking away and the smells out back are heavenly. I was wondering whether anybody has any suggestions for a good sauce to serve on the side. I know there are good ones for sale at the store, but it's a holiday and I'd rather indulge myself cooking it from scratch.[p]Thanks and happy 4th![p]CW
