Had to order some new DP rubs this week and had occassion to order some of the new to be release pineapple head for grilling fruits...well..at first glance(sniff) I'm thinkin..hell..little bit o cinnamon and lotta sugar and I can make this!...lil did I know until grilling this fresh pineapple and grilling for eats after a pizza I had just made..that there could be so much more!!...Chris..I think you got the beginnings of a hit here ;) ..yeah..there was 'some' shugah, and 'some' cinnamon, but this rub has a bit of an afterkick hinting of some 'cayenne' or 'chipotle' and some very faint hints of other spices in the background...VERY nice!...I LIKE it! :woohoo:

    Thanks mang!!
It was a lot of fun to come up with. MikeO posted a grilled pineapple recipe years and years ago (wonder what is up with him these days?) It had sugar, cinnamon and cloves. It was really nice, and I never forgot about it. Over the years I started listing other spices I thought might work to really give it some zing. I can say that there is some stuff in there that you would not expect.

Really appreciate the kind words, and you did a sweet job of cooking them up. A little more even coat of rub, and a tad more heat and browning and they're perfect ;-) hehe.
Great weekend to you. You just made mine.
