I usually only apply rub to 1 side of my chicken, steaks, ect. When cooking, I place the bare side down and then flip. Do some of you guys and gals place the seasoned side down first or last. This has been bothering me for awhile. The flavor is good but I missing something?

Car Wash Mike,[p]I always apply rub to both sides. Sometimes I even get silly and apply to all sides (including the top, bottom, left, and right sides).[p]Later,

I usually apply rub over the entire piece of meat or chicken. This includes brisket, chuck rolls, chicken but I don't put rub on the bottom of my salmon fillets.

    Car Wash Mike,
I apply to all sides...don't want to leave any bite without plenty of seasoning. [p]~nikki

Cornfed,[p]Which side is the left and which side is the right when I flip those puppies over?

Sundown,[p]You know, I was also thinking of front and back. I'm thinking of a relatively rectangular surface area on top and bottom and that I should have actually noted 6 sides. Then I thought, "well, technically I did say all sides including..." the 4 I mentioned....and since I said including that I didn't necessarily say I was naming all of them...[p]Rather than pointing out that faux pas, though, you noticed yet another![p]Then I thought "all this talk of sides and rubs is making me hungry." Finally, I thought "get back to work, you slacker!"[p]This is where I stand now...trying hard to finish some extremely unpalatable work before heading home to cook some hopefully palatable dinner...[p]Later,

    WooDoggies,
Thanks, I'm glad to be back home. It was a long and stressful weekend, not exactly what I had planned. Had to throw out 9lbs of smashed chicken, froze the meatloaf fixins, gonna cook the pork loin tomorrow, and I have no idea what to do with fixins for 60 ABT's. Congrats on the acquisition of a mini![p]~nikki

Car Wash Mike,[p]I tend to rub it on all sides. Seems to work better that way.[p]BBS
