I ordered a couple of Tel Tru's for my Large and Medium BGE's Got the 150 to 700 with 5" stems. Do you need to calibrate before using, or are they accurate from the start? Thanks

I checked mine when I got it, and it was spot on. Doesn't hurt to check.

you should test them on boiling water and calibrate if needed....

Just like a rain coat... best to do a trial run! 8 - )

I checked mine. On the money. Very accurate and responsive thermo. Have it on my large and switched my BGE thermo to my small. Te BGE has a tendency to stick on occasion.

Why not test it and be sure - also adjust for your altitude.

Check'em I will. They were delivered yesterday, but I'm in Myrtle Beach for a couple weeks. Will check them before use. Thanks everyone.
