Got rave reviews from the family and they told me I have to do one on Thanksgiving now!!

Now I am stuffed!

  • I need directions from Huntsville please ;)
  • That's one hell of a tan on that bird...looks awesome!!! Great job.
  • Drive south to Birmingham and then just stick your nose out of the window and follow the smell :P . I am going to love the egg!!
  • Thanks. That was the best turkey I have ever had! It is so easy on the egg with the help of the eggers on this site.
  • great job for a guy from the wrong "AU" (I went to AU - American University that is .heeeee) .. .. seriously, looks fantastic. .. glad it all worked out for you ...

    did you make gravy????
  • I have smelled lots of things while driving in B'ham...egged food has not registered in the nasal cavity yet!
  • I did make some gravy but not as in depth as your gravy. Today was just a trial run so Thursday is the big day! Gravy and all!!
  • Very true!! On second thought close all windows and air vents when coming through Birmingham. :S
  • Unless you are close to Jim and Nicks

Can you tell me the specs./.. what size bird and what size egg. I am doing a Turkey for the first time tomorrow on my Large BGE.
Also, it looks like your foil container is sitting on the PlateSetter - what prevented the "juice/gravy/drippings" from being burned to the bottom of the foil from the heat of direct contact with PS?

  • War Eagle, Auburnegger!
Lets hope a Bamaturkey gets roasted Saturday!
