Little Egghead gets a mini for her birthday!!

Over the weekend I gave my youngest daughter Helen a new mini for her 9th birthday!!



She decided to make some mini-burger/sliders on it for the first cook so the fun started with a rolling pin and pizza cutter...



Get those little burgers on the grill!
(notice the 'custom made' Nomex gasket upgrade I added)



Then add some sharp cheddar cheese...



And the finished product served up those little 'King's Sweet Hawaiian' rolls.

That is just way to cool! How great to see kids getting involved with cooking at a young age. My boys both learned to cook at an early age and I thought my youngest was going to do something with it. not yet though, but it is never to late. Keep us posted on how she is doing, LOL Julie

Lol.. When I brought it home from Eggtoberfest I said

Honest dear, it is NOT for me... I already have 4 eggs!!!

She and her 12yr old sister fought over the small that I brought home last year so now they are both happy

(and maybe she will let me use is once in a while...)

I saw that on WessB's site a while back and used his idea for rolling them thin and cutting into little squares.

For most of my burgers I use ground sirloin and add about 10-20% ground pork then season with some onion powder, garlic powder, and couple dashes of worcestershire sauce.

i love the ground sirloin.. but don't buy it often the publix i shop at has a market ground that is very good for burgers they usually sell it cheap!!! but i do remember those sirloin burger days :( (why doesn't the sad icon have a tear?) :laugh:

She has been an egghead since she was 5 or 6 yrs old and is my little wannabe cook so she needed one of her own.

When I brought home my first large BGE years ago she said "Daddy, Eggs are white and smooth, that is an Avocado!"
