based on a recommendation, I ordered Mike Mills' book "Peace, Love, & Barbecue: Recipes, Secrets, Tall Tales, and Outright Lies from the Legends of Barbecue". This is really a good book with plenty of good recipes and plenty of good reading. It also has some references to plenty of good BBQ places throughout the country. I put it right up their with Dr BBQ's "Road Trip" as "fun" BBQ books. Definitely a good gift for that BBQ guy who has everything (including Dr BBQ's "Road Trip").

I greatly enjoyed that one as well. Another is "Smokestack Lightning", which relates two guys search for BBQ in the usual geographic haunts, but has a different slant.
