Bourbon Marinated Pit Beef w/ Bourbon BBQ Sauce

This was the centerpiece of our Labor Day BBQ. I cooked two beef roasts (I can't remember exactly what kind - they were the cheaper of the two types the local Costco sells) marinated in the Drunk and Dirty Tenderloin marinade from Smoke and Spice. I rubbed the meat with kosher salt and black pepper, smoked it over hickory, pulled it rare, sliced, and served on rolls with a homemade bourbon BBQ sauce. This came out great. I'm definately making this one again.

Looks great. We did something similar for New Years, only with a mayo/horseradish sauce. I think your bourbon version looks better.
Thanks,

Looks really nice John! Thanks for posting the pics and link.

Looks great - you can't go wrong with that Drunk & Dirty Tenderloin marinade. Actually anything I've tried from the Smoke & Spice cookbook has turned out great.

Looks good think i'm going to give this one a try...

John,
That looks and sounds great! Now that my saliva glands are running wild, I will have to make that sauce for my next brisket. You should post that in the recipe section.
