Mini: the inaugural cook

After making my proud purchase at Eggtoberfest and waiting patiently to pick it up this past weekend from my friend in Marshall, TX, I broke in Miss Mini last night with her first cook--fresh Italian sausages. It was SO easy; Mini took less than 10 minutes to get up to 350, then I cooked the sausages for about 7 minutes a side with some hickory chunks smoking. They were delicious and super juicy. I used probably 1/4 the charcoal I would have had to use for the same cook on the Medium, plus the warming up time was significantly shorter. I highly recommend purchasing a Mini for small, quick cooks. Next cook on the Mini: NY strips.
