Getting ready for Gustov to come visit. I am preparing 13 pounds of Boston Butt and need the best receipe you have tried. I am feeding the neighbors in prep for the big visit. My wife is making her award winning cold slaw so I just need a great receipe for the pork. Thanks in advance.

Good luck down there from a Arkansas redneck!! As far as the pork I would add that 2 smaller butts or one cut in half if big is better than a big one. More surface area for bark to form and thats where the taste is.

I do have 2 boston butts. A 6 # and a 7 #er. I expect 2-1/2 hrs a #.

could go that long...especially if you let 'em tough each other. Otherwise maybe aboutt 1 to 1-1/2 hour per lb.
