spray bottle

looking for advise on spray bottles for EVOO. Last night I took an empty Wishbone brand italian salad dressing spritzer and filled it with EVOO. However, I found that the bottle no longer sprays but shoots a fine line of EVOO at whatever i'm pointing at. Good for target shooting maybe at the carnival, but not for cooking. I think the extra viscosity of the oil is the culprit. Any suggestions?

Williams Sonoma used to sell a steel bottle for spraying olive oil. Haven't looked for a while but you probably locate one on their website or in any similar food/kitchen store.

I have a pampered chef pump sprayer that I use. It holds it's own for lasting. They do wear out and I release the pressure everytime I use it. It comes with an extra spray top.

Search for a Misto - the are a pump style sprayer that you can fill with your choice of oil.

Rod - I was searching for this pix so you beat me! I use bottled water in one and EVOO in the other. Misto's work fine!

Thanks for the assist. I only have one for EVOO, but it has worked perfectly for a long time now. Makes oil application to meat and veggies much easier.

Yeah, I need one of these.

I tend to just pour on the EVOO and rub it in.

Somehow, I ended up with 2 mistos. The first is used for olive oil. The second holds vermouth. Just the right amount for a martini.
