To grill an artichoke...???

Has anyone ever cooked artichokes on the egg? I am open to any methodology you have tried. The usual would be helpful(Time,Temp,Direct/Indirect etc.) I appreciate any input anyone may have to offer.

I cook them all the time. Typically I cut them in half, remove the fuzzy stuff with a spoon, put on some sea salt, black pepper, and a little olive oil and lemon juice. I then take some aluminum foil and wrap them in there with some beer, white wine, stock, or whatever and let them cook on the egg around 350 - 400 for about 10 minutes. Flip and then open the foil in about 5 to fork test them. Once they are done I put them on the grill usually with whatever meat I'm cooking.

Then serve both the salmon and the artichokes with lemon wedges and hollandaise sauce. I prefer World Spices out of Seattle salmon seasoning. You can combine with their alderwood smoked sea salt for a truly great taste.
