First of all I am glad to be back to some kind of outdoor cooking after a long hiatus. I used to participate on another BBQ forum but I wasn't the competetive type, so i bowed out.

I got a great deal on a large egg {see my previous post regarding the $65 divorce} and will be replacing the old style hinge with the spring loaded one [is that the best one to get?} Wasn't there a hinge that had a lever to lock the lid in place?

Anyway, I need websites, links, advice, etc. to make sure I get into this egg thing correctly?

Also, any tips on getting around this forum site would be appreciated. I figured out how to change the font size and the "return to index" button. Is there a way to place the event ads somewhere other than the top?

classic view does not show the events on my puter

i have no knowlege of the 'lever'
