So the wife is on a diet and wants to eat healthy. So I thought to myself, (and after a short but heated argument with myself, which might I say I won) we should have some salmon. Unfortunately I don't live in Alaska so I can't get fresh Salmon I'll have to settle with frozen.

I put some EVOO kosher salt and ground pepper

Grilled on a cedar plank till internal temp was 145. Served with 4 cheese rice and broccoli.

  • Eating healthy was right on right up until the 4-cheese rice. Me thinks you are going to have to try harder.

Maan! That looks good! 'Sammon' is a favorite of mine on the egg..I don't live in Alaska but fortunately the butcher I use gets it fresh..but with the egg..I've done frozen and it's awesome..what's the sauce you have on it?..Looks good!
  • It's a Bearnaise sauce by Knorr. Easy to make. :silly: :cheer:

Next time she says she wants to eat "healthy food," tell her the food's OK and ask her if she's interested in healthful food...

Oh, yeah! I know... ex English professor who has lost this war a long time ago!

  • Try it with a little Dizzy Pig Raging River. I cook it about once a week either on a cedar plank or grilled direct. My kids even like it!

They're all great, so just buy one of each. You won't regret it.
  • AHHHHH. Now you have me dream'n about lazy days troll'n for summer Kings and fall Silvers. We may get a little rain up here in the Great Northwest, but I'm only 30 minutes from net to Egg.
  • I ordered it direct.

I have used Raging River, Shakin the Tree (great on Chicken), Cow Lick (on last night's NY Strip) and Dizzy Dust. They also sent me a sample pack of the other rubs. Fantastic customer service!

Hey, it could have been worse, he could have put that cheese sauce on a fattie!

Hmmmm . . . that sound like an idea.
