From reading the forms and all the good input here which everyone can depend on. I have decided to go with the Nomex gasket. I called my local dealer and he says he has the Nomex and says they are better then the old felt ones. I am going today to pick it up. Only 12 dollars.

I spent 12 dollars on a lot worst things in my life so I am going to give it a shot. I probably can get a few more months out of the old one, but I like to have a gasket on hand when the time comes. Will give report on this when compleated. Thanks for all the input ladies and gents. Which we can allways count on. Happy Egging.

That sounds like a good plan. I'll be swapping out my defective metal top today, and will ask about the new gaskets from my dealer.
