Pizza screen instead of a stone?

Anyone have any luck using a pizza screen instead of the stone? If so how did the results turn out compared to a stone?

I use a screen on top of my stone. Upside down plate setter then grid then stone then screen. I like this set up for thicker crusts.

I sometimes use pizza pans. I have a set that are perforated and do a good job of baking a pizza. Sure makes life simple for a big pizza. The stone cooks best but I'm ok with a pan. I would think pizza screens would work fine, oil the screen good so the dough don't stick.
