Yep, and it's headed to Charlotte. Should be here with some ice, just about the time I'm supposed to take Mrs. GreaseBall to the airport. :woohoo:
-
I know what you are saying. 10 months after our last bit of snow we had a little trouble with a storm called Katrina. Maybe you heard of it.
-
Last 10 Years it snows, it's white, 24hrs it's gone. Don't have time to get tired of it. Give Rondey Dangerbird An at-a-boy for me

Better get about 10 gallons of milk, 14 loaves of bread. You may never see the sun again. :woohoo:
20 years in the grocery business. Gosh, people go crazy. Have fun with your snow. We are going to get 3-5 inches tonight.

About 40 years ago, I was a Sunbeam Bread Man. Boy, could I sell some bread if there was even the mention of snow in the forcast!
-
I agree! It's a BLIZZARD, it's a BLIZZARD! Milk and bread are all but gone here in Marietta!
-
fill your bath tub with water too. dunno why, but a few of the moms in my neighborhood did where i lived as a kid.
just a tip, too.
if your wheels slip in the snow, give it as much gas as possible so the tires smoke and the car fishtails.ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
here is PA we buy bread, milk AND eggs. that is because seeing snow cause an intense desire for french toast!
-
here near boston we buy condoms and porn. but hey, you have fun!ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante

they had wells? and if the electricitty went out you could use the tub water to fill the toilet tank and still flush.
-
All that ash from the egg can be used at the tires of your auto to gain a grip in the snow. just sprinkle in the rear, or front ease on the gas and go. Something i picked up north many years ago. Drive safe. miles out.

Take some pictures. It -hopefully- will not last long. Was in Lawrenceville GA. and left Fri 4th and saw ice flakes on the car window for the first time in 40 years.
-
that was great. made me laugh. seems like puritans are more fun than quakers. glad to see your karma is working.
-
Condoms aren't allowed in the state of Missouri, so try finding a hospital bed 9 months from now!

Keep it up north . For some strange reason I think i might have an effect on my business. :(

250 gallons of water out in the shed, well 250 gallons of solid ice out in the shed. 40 gallons in the basment.

20 minutes from here - 104" base 5" new powder and more the next few days. -
If I figured correctly how to post a photo on the new forum here is my egg doing what eggs do best, in a rare Ga snow & my 15 year old doing what 15 year olds do.

Here's hoping that it sticks until the a.m. - I'm crossing my fingers for a snow day!
Probably more excited than my students,
TRex -
Ok we can't post a pic with 6" of snow on the egg but its a start. Maybe I can include a update with Spring Chicken update in the early AM
Maybe the pic post will work -
I just got to NC for a one day meeting with coworkers and if there is snow and ice on the roads tomorrow the plant won't be open. -RP
-
Well, just drop down about 45 minutes south of Salisbury and share some of this brisket I just finished tonight. At least we can eat good while we're waiting out the snow.
-
We have about an inch here in the NE side. Nothing on the roads yet.
My kids are pretty excited at the chance of a snowman in the morning. -
The snow was lots of fun. It was the first time my 3 year old saw it falling from the sky. Did anyone else notice that those were huge snowflakes! At least by southern standards. One actually hit me in the eye!

I KNOW! we landed in it. We flew out of Bangor Maine yesterday excited about getting out of the snow and landed in that mess. we missed our flight due to delays in landing and then did not get to Fort Myers till midnight. We were happy to get to bed at almost 2 o'clock. but we cruise on Sunday so I am happy. miss my egg, sniff, sniff, Julie

Yeah, I go home from school and my 3.5 year old was waiting for me.
We went outside and played in the snow, threw snowballs and even made a "Frosty the Snowman".
It does not happen very often here in the South.
