Injected ham recipe

Going to try Egrets injected ham for Christmas. I couldn't find pure maple syrup at the store, I bought a bottle of Butter Maple Syrup ( artificial flavor ) by Bob White, will this work, if not I have a bottle of Aunt Jemima's Country Rich Syrup would this work. I have 2 half hams about 6.5 # a piece, roughly how long should it take them to cook. Thanks for the help.

I would try to stay true to the recipe if it was my first time. If all you can find is syrup then may I suggest "Christmas Ham" by Wess B.[p]Mike
